1. Background

Wuwei—Changgang Road, linking Wuwei, Lujiang counties to the 206 State Road and Shanghai- Chengdu Expressway, is the part of S319 Provincial Road. Upon its putting into use, the road will play an important part in improving the existing road level, lessening the traffic crowded conditions, forming a east-west road passage in the middle areas of Anhui Province, promoting the economic development in the adjacent region.

2.Construction Content and Scale

The length of the road is 50.12 kilometers, which is designed according to the standard of first-class road and built by the standard of second-class road with 17m width of roadbed and 12m width of road surface ( in some places, with 12m width of roadbed and 9m width of road surface ). The road surface is paved with cement concrete and with asphalt broken stones in some sections.

3.Investment Estimate

The total investment is estimated at RMB 160 million yuan, which will be collected from the following sources: national debt, self-raised funds and circulating funds at home and abroad.

4.Economic Analysis

The estimated traffic volume will reach 5729/day in 2010 (unit: medium-sized vehicles) and 9501 /day in 2021.
