1. Project Background
Boao is located in the eastern coast of Hainan Island. Bounded by sea and surrounded with mountains, it boasts various landforms with rivers and dunes. With verdant coconut trees and green distant mountains, which are just like paradise, this place is considered to be a virgin land with the most perfect natural environment in the sea mouth by foreign experts. In the eastern part, a long and narrow sandbank "jade belt beach" divides the river and sea, on the one side is the vast South Sea, and on the other is the quiet mirror-like Wanquan River. Among the mountain, beach and field, the water of Shamei Inner Sea has been perfectly preserved. The various terrains and landforms created by nature with superlative craftsmanship have offered Boao plentiful innate conditions.
Boao Water City is the permanent conference place for Boao Forum for Asia, the only international conference organization who permanently settles in China. Boao Forum for Asia was established in 2001, the former State President Jiang Zemin attended and addressed in the conference. Up till now the Forum has held three annual conferences, President Hu Jingtao, Deputy Premier Zhu Rongji, Premier Wen Jiabao once attended the annual conference and made keynote speeches. State heads of other countries and areas, important politicians, leading businessmen, experts and scholars, as well as reporters from mass medias attended the conference every year.
The planned general area of Boao Water City is 41.8 square kilometers, it will be developed into an international conference center with intelligence and ecologic environment that is top in the world, and a center for vacation and recreation with distinctive character.
2. Construction Conditions
Boao is linked with two international airports in Haikou and Sanya by east expressway. It is 104 kilometers away from Haikou airport, 188 kilometers away from Sanya airport, and the transportation is convenient.
The infrastructure facilities such as water and power supply, communication and road are perfect in the area, the 13km-long pipe transport the underground hot spring to the area.
At present, some high-grade projects such as international conference center, super five-star hotel, golf course and hot spring villa have been completed in the area.
3. Projects for Investment Promotion
1) The water bank hot spring villa in Dongyu Island
It is located in the southeast part of Dongyu Island of Boao, by the water and opposite to the international conference center of Boao Forum for Asia. The field of vision is wide and the environment is beautiful.
The water bank villa will provide members of Boao Forum for Asia with beautiful accommodation environment. The construction of villa will be independently arranged, and the construction style will adopt the simple and natural style, which shall be in harmony with the surrounding views.
2) The golf hot spring villa in Dongyu Island
It is located in the southwest part of golf course, and the building will be respectable when arranged with the beautiful environment of golf course.
3) The countryside hot spring hotel and entertainment park
There are 3 civilian houses in the golf course. It is planed that 2 houses will be rebuilt into a countryside hotel to provide conference participants of Boao Forum for Asia a place for rest and entertainment. The pattern will adopt the original construction style and the organizing method of the original village, and common construction materials will be selected to maintain the local character and original citizen’s culture. Hotel service will be provided after suitable repairing.
4) Boao water entertainment project
The area of river waters in Boao Water City is 8.5 square kilometers. The broad water and surrounding water plants and natural woods will be utilized to establish a water island preservation zone in order to develop such projects as water sightseeing and entertainment, yacht self-driving, motor boat, water pulling and fishing.
5) Asian culture park
The park will show the cultural character of Asian countries, different areas will be divided in the park, such as food culture area, handicraft article area, performance area etc.
6) Longtan Mountain view hot spring resort hotel/golf course/hot spring villa
The area of Longtan Mountain vacation area is about 10 square kilometers, the peaceful field view and the top-grade planning and development will make this project a model of the combination of nature and modern life.
