2. Prject Background:According to On National Dangerous and Medical Rubbish Disposal Program co-formulated by National Environment Protection Bureau and Development and Reform Committee, it is planed to set up Medical Rubbish Disposal Facility to ensure the environment safety and sustainable development.

3. Project Construction Basis:
Honghe Dangerous and Medical Rubbish Disposal Facility is the national project with the annual capacity 41650 tons/year, including 40000 tons of dangerous rubbish, 1650 tons of medical rubbish. The total investment is 209.7 million.

Construction Condition:
According to the current dangerous rubbish volume and accumulated volume as well as the medical rubbish, the Honghe Dangerous Rubbish Disposal Center will be the multi-functional center, which has been approved. The project will adopt the advanced, mature and reliable technique. The project undertaker, feasibility report unit and environment assessment unit have been selected, with first draft of feasibility report being finished and environment assessment underway.

Market Analysis:
There are wide resources of the dangerous rubbish, which exist in people’s daily life and production, industrial and agricultural production, medical services, transportation, even in the transformation of the environment friendly facilities. The dangerous rubbish will increase as the economic and industrialization development and improvement of the people’s living standard, which will affect the environment.

Construction Content and Scale:
Under the environment protection and sanitary standards, Honghe Dangerous Rubbish Disposal Center aims at dangerous rubbish treatment, disease spreading prevention, environment protection and safeguard of people’s health by adopting comprehensive utilization, land filling, incineration and other techniques, which can ensure the safety storage and treatment of the dangerous rubbish, medical rubbish and radwaste. The annual capacity is 41650 tons/year, including 40000 tons of dangerous rubbish, 1650 tons of medical rubbish.
Total investment and Fund Raising:
The total investment is 209.7 million.

Social Benefit Assessment:
After the project put into operation, it will release the pressure of the dangerous rubbish treatment in Honghe State, Wenshan State, Yixi City, Simao City and Xishuangbanna State, improve the environment for 12.5 million population as well as enhance the sustainable development of the region.

2. Feasibility report: the first draft of feasibility report has been finished and environment assessment is underway.
