The northern area of Baotou city has rich wind energy and is an area where wind energy is most concentrated in China and Inner Mongolia. According to wind energy resources and developing conditions, 4 big wind power generation fields are planned to be developed, with area of over 2000 square kilometers and capacity 5 million kilo-watts. The project area is convenient in transportation and easy to connect networks and so is an ideal area to build wind power generation field. With the launching of “Renewable Energy Law” next year, business development of wind power has good prospect.
