Latin America's three major stock markets closed mixed Wednesday.
Mexico City's IPC stock index dropped by 2.84 percent to close at 28,699.12 points. A total of 132.1 million shares were traded at 408 million U.S. dollars.
In Sao Paulo, Latin America's biggest bourse, the leading Bovespa index closed at 62,815 points, down 1.68 percent. The trade volume was 2.558 billion dollars.
The Buenos Aires stock market closed no change with the Merval index compared with the final deal day of 2007 to 2,151.74 points. The trade volume was 49.744 million dollars.
