1. Content of the Project : Being located near the southern gate of the Xiangfan City, with a position in the lower reaches of urban water resource, facing Hanjiang River River on the east and along Jiaozuo-Zhicheng railway, No. 207national highway and Xiangfan-Jingmen highway on the west, this development zone is famous for its convenient transportation, predominant geographical position and abundant water and electrical energy resources. It covers an area of 5 square kilometers from south of Qianying Village, Panggong Office in Xiangcheng District to north of Oumiao Town, with the center of Xiangfan Thermal Power Plant, a national large-scale power plant. The designed initial park is from fly ash pipelines of Xiangfan Thermal Power Plant on the north, 400 meters west of No. 207 national highway, to the special railway track of Thermal Power Plant on the east, covering an area of 2 km2 ,with floor space of 3000 mu. It is planned to introduce investment to construct basic facilities and standard workshops, attracting more manufacturing enterprises into this development zone.
2. Investment Estimation and Financing Scheme: The amount of investment and financing scheme depend on the investment scale of the sponsor unit.
3. Economic and Social Benefits: More than ten projects have been reached investment intention and planned to enter into the initial stage of the development zone. The main projects are: Project of annual output of 1million ton of compound fertilizer with a total investment of USD100 million by Jingmen Yangfeng Company; Optical Glass Project of USD 12.5 million invested by Huaguang Group; Color Steel and Auto Parts processing invested by Ruifeng Company from Zhejiang province; New-style Vitriol Project by Junhe Networks(US funded); The Project of infrastructure Facilities construction in the Development Zone invested by Hello Group from London; Yuchang Industry of Fine Chemicals Project, etc..
4. General Information of the Project Enterprises: This development zone is a key industrial park established by Xiangfan Municipal Government, with its functions focusing on energy resources, metallurgy and chemical industry.
5. Current Status: Digital electronic mapping and the red-lined plan about the development zone have been finished, with the overall planning and detailed plan controlling program under further revision. Till now, a thermal power station with the total designed installed capacity of 7,200,000KWH, Cuijiaying Navigation and Power Pivot, Jinying Light Standard Rail Expansion Project, Mainland of China-Hongkong-India Coal Blending Center and No. 42 Aerospace Research Institute construction projects have already been in the development zone.
