1. project Content : One or two primary processing factories and a mould pressing plate factory are planned to be built, mainly on the construction of processing workshop, warehouse, purchase of processing equipment, development of the commercial forest base etc..
2. Investment Estimation and Ffinancial Scheme: The total investment is USD 2.25 million, including, USD 625,000 for processing workshop, USD 250,000 for warehouse, USD 1 million for equipment, USD 125,000 for transportion equipment, USD 125,000 to set up sales networks,and USD 125,000 for base development.

Economic and Social Benefits: The local purchasing price of the primary timber product is 62.5- 87.5 yuanRMB / m3, and the selling price of the goods after being processed is 687.5 USD / m3, with more than 125 dollars of added value per cubic meter. After the project is built up, the processing capacity can reach 100,000 m3, increasing by 12.5 million USD worth of output value, and 1.25 million USD for profit. All investment can be paid back in three years, and the economic benefits are very prominent.

General Iinformation of the Project Unit: Supported by shoal resource along Han River, Laohekou City has vigorously implemented the construction of rapid-growing productive forest base and has already built up a base of 150,000 mu rapid-growing poplar. With good species and quality, the prospect of fast-growing poplar is extensive. The main species include: Nankang No.1, Nankang No.2, Zhongqian No.3, and American black poplar etc.. There are 500,000 m3 of growing stock now, 100,000 mu fast-growing poplar with 1-3 years of growing period, 50,000 mu fast-growing poplar with 4 years growing period. The annual cutable area can reach about 10,000 mu and the amount about 50,000 m3. The city has relatively good processing facilities, with more than 20 small-scale processing enterprises to produce 35,000 cubic meters of timber every year, mainly on the preliminary processing . The main product is wooden board.
5. Current Status: The deep- processed poplar has high added value with better profit, and great market potential. The finished panel sells well in the international market at present. Especially after the country implements the reforesting of formerly cultivated land, closes hillsides to facilitate afforestation, the timber supply and demand of market is not on balance, hence the result of short supply of timber appears at present. The prices of the finished template are increasing constantly, and the prospect of the project is very promising.
6. Current Status: sole investment by foreign part or joint-venture , or buying out.
