Blessed with suitable temperature, ample sunlight, sufficient rainfall, the land here is suitable for watermelon plantation. In 2003,the area of watermelon plantation was 200,000 mu in Yicheng,and the annual output is 500,000tons.The town has got its watermelon sold outside Hubei Province, in Hunan, uangdong and other ten provinces.
