1. Project Background: Baokang County is the only way to the tourism triangle of Wudang Mountains---Shenlongjia Forest Reserve---Three Gorges on Yangtze River. Tangcixia hot spring is located 17 kilometers south of the capital town of Baokang County with an area of 6 km2. Detection shows that the hot spring with a daily capacity of 198m3/hour, or 2500m3/day, and with a constant temperature of 39.5℃, can last for at least 300 years. The hot spring, with its water quality better than the standards given in National Standards For Natural Drinking Water (GB8537-1995), is called "the First Hot Spring in Hubei Province". Containing over 10 kinds such trace elements as strontium, bromine, lithium, zinc, and selenium which is good for human health, the hot spring serve the purposes of drinking, bathing and fishing. Pleasant and beautiful scenery surround the hot spring. The towering mountains and the winding waters make the hot spring a wonderful resort for tourists. Existing projects in the hot spring area include: a standard indoors swimming pool, a mineral drinking water production line with an annual capacity 10 thousand tons, a special fishery base with an area of 10 mu, three resorts and recreation facilities. Second-phase expansion project which call for foreign investment include: water recreation facilities, fishing farm, mineral drinking water production line, luxury swimming pool and entertainment parlor.
2. Investment and the Composing: Total investment: USD 30 million, including 1 million USD for Aquatic Amusement Park, 0.5 million USD for the extension of aquiculture, USD 0.4 million for the production of mineral water, USD 0.87 million for senior hotel construction and 0.3 million UISD for the relative facilities in the Entertainment Park.

Economic Benefit Analysis: The completion of the project will bring the mineral drinking water production capacity to 20.000 tons/year, fish output volume to 3000 tons/year, the tourist arrivals to 300 persons/day, swimmer arrivals to 200 persons/day, conference reception capacity to 300 people; total annual Sales income: USD 3.25 million; total annual cost: USD 2.03 million; annual net profit: USD 0.55 million; investment profit ratio: 21.92%; project construction period: 1 year; investment recovery period: 3.51 years.
