First-phase engineering of Guang'ao Harbor Area
|
Description: The engineering was kicked off in Nov. 2002. It is going to build two 20000 tons-grade multipurpose berths, which's structure is designed for 50000 tons-grade container ship, with annual handling capacity of 960000 tons (shall be 1.5 million tons after perfect of handling facilities). The wharf is 435 meters in length and water-deepness at its front is 15 meters. The engineering include shore protection, stock fields, roads, water supply, power supply, drainage and communication.
Cooperation form: joint venture, contractual cooperation.
Cooperation term: 50 years
Total investment: 400 million yuan (48.3 million US dollars)
Location of project: It is located at Eastern part of Guang'ao Harbor Area, Guang'ao Bay and on the northerly extending line from No.1 berth. The two berths are numbered as No.2 and No.3. berths.
Project progress: The project was kicked off on 18 Nov. 2002 and shall be completed in 2006. At present, fifty percent of wharf and shore protection engineering had been finished.
